Sharp Cash Register

Post  Bertie on Wed Nov 12, 2008 1:32 pm

Hi, not sure if you can help but I have just brought a nearly new Sharp cash register. Does anyone know how to reset back to factory settings?

Try the following:

Factory Defaults
Insert the key marked MA into the mode lock.
Turn the mode lock to the REG position.

Unplug the register.
Make sure that the backup batteries have been removed.
Then wait for 15 minutes.
Plug the register back into the AC outlet.
A buzzer will sound 3 times.
The display will show "0.00".
The defaults are reset.

Clearing Grand Totals
Insert the key marked MA into the mode lock.
Turn the mode lock to the PGM position.
Press #TM/ST.
Using the numeric buttons enter 64, press X button
Using the numeric buttons enter 00000010
Press #TM/ST.
Press TL/NS to finish.

Turn the mode lock to the Z position.
Press TL/NS
Once the report has printed, the grand total will reset.
Return the mode lock to the REG position

Correct the Time and Date
Insert the key marked MA into the mode lock.
Turn the mode lock to the PGM position.
Using the numeric buttons enter the date (DDMMYYYY format).
i.e. 5th November 2007 = 05112007
Press #TM/ST
Using the numeric buttons enter the time (24hr format).
i.e. 2pm = 1400
Press #TM/ST to finish.
Return the mode lock to the REG position.

Hope this helps
